SWELL is the Quarterly GLBT literary e-zine of NewTown Writers.

SWELL seeks original writing focusing on GLBT themes, and aims
to reach beyond the traditional boundaries of the printed word,
exploring the limits of form, structure, and content.
THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALL GLBT WRITERS AND THEIR ALLIES.

And 3 Finalists
Entries will be accepted between May 15 and September 30, 2008 only.
The Prize winners and finalists will be published on our webzine, SWELL,
and in our print publication, Off the Rocks. Prize winners and finalists will also
be announced on the NewTown Writers website.
SUBMIT ONLY UNPUBLISHED, WELL-CRAFTED STORIES THAT
RELATE TO OUR MISSION OF FOSTERING THE EVOLUTION OF
GLBT LITERATURE.
SUBMIT STORIES UP TO 5,000 WORDS. Please carefully edit and
proofread your work before submitting.
An $8.00 reading fee is required per contest entry. Multiple
submissions are welcomed but must be sent separately.
ALL entries will also be eligible for inclusion in our print publication,
Off the Rocks.
Contest will be judged by editors of the magazine. Winners and finalists
will be announced to the public in January 2009.
Simultaneous submissions will be accepted, but if your entry is accepted
elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible.
Entries should be in MS Word, double-spaced, 12 point font size, 1" margins.
Each page should be numbered. First page should include author's name,
address, telephone number, and email address.

Once payment is made, return to this page and scroll to the bottom of the
screen, you can click to obtain a submission form for your stories. Be patient,
the transition may take more than a few seconds.

of the submission.
